Güller ve Günahlar (Roses and Sins) – Episode 30
Content Summary – Part 3
The Aftermath of the Crash – Berrak’s Isolation
Part 3 opens in the hospital. Berrak is recovering from the car accident, but her emotional wounds are far deeper than her physical ones. Her daughters visit her, but the atmosphere is cold. One daughter says: “You still hate Zeynep Abla even after she saved us?”
Berrak’s mother tries to defend her, but her daughters are losing patience. The eldest says: “You hurt Kader, but she didn’t leave you. She waited for the ambulance. She stayed by your side. And you can’t even ask how she is?”
Berrak remains silent. The distance between her and her children grows wider.
Zeynep and Serhat – Building a New Family
Back at home, Zeynep is overjoyed to have Kader back. She tucks the child into bed, kisses her forehead, and whispers: “Welcome home.”
Kader asks: “Will you read me a story tonight? You read so funnily.”
Zeynep smiles: “Of course, my little one. What should I read to you today?”
Serhat watches from the doorway, his heart full. For a moment, the chaos fades. This is what they are fighting for.
Later, Serhat tells Zeynep: “You don’t have to be strong all the time. I’m here.”
She replies: “I’m glad you exist.”
Azra’s Mental Decline – A Marriage Crumbling
Azra’s condition worsens. She becomes increasingly forgetful and paranoid. She is convinced she had a bag full of money to buy a house, but when she goes to the real estate office, the bag is filled with newspaper.
Her husband, Cihan, manipulates her: “There was no money, Azra. You’re imagining things. Your mind is deteriorating. You’re becoming worse than your mother.”
Azra screams: “I saw the money with my own eyes! You’re trying to make me doubt my own mind!”
She searches the house frantically, tearing through drawers and closets. “Where did you hide it? Where?”
Cihan mocks her: “You can’t even count your vitamins properly. How will you raise a child alone?”
But Azra finds strength in her desperation: “You can’t upset me anymore, Cihan. You are not good for me. I will get better when I’m away from you. I can feel it.”
She announces she is leaving him for good.
The Custody Celebration – A Bittersweet Victory
Serhat and Zeynep plan a small celebration. Serhat has also signed a major business deal – a partnership for a new hotel complex. He tells Zeynep: “Tonight we have two good things to celebrate – Kader coming home and the deal.”
But their joy is short-lived.
The Press Conference Disaster
At a press conference to announce the business partnership, everything falls apart. A journalist asks: “We heard you adopted a child, Serhat Bey. Is it true the child belongs to Berrak Hanım?”
Serhat tries to stay calm: “Let’s not go into details. A press release will be distributed.”
But the journalist pushes harder: “Is the child yours? Are you the father?”
Serhat replies: “Berrak and I have no other children together.”
Then the killer question: “So the child born to her – you are not the father. Did your wife cheat on you, Serhat Bey?”
The room erupts. Cameras flash. Serhat’s face turns to stone. Zeynep grabs his arm: “Let’s go, Serhat. Please. Let’s go.”
But another journalist shouts: “Do you know who the person was that she cheated with?”
Serhat freezes. The secret he has been hiding is now public. The humiliation is complete.
Ebru’s New Beginning – A Business Offer
Meanwhile, Pelin – Necat’s former associate – approaches Ebru with a business proposal. Pelin explains that Necat had set up an event management company and named Ebru as the manager. Now that Necat is gone, Pelin wants to revive the company.
“I have some money,” Pelin says. “You put in your labor. We run the company together. What do you say?”
Ebru is hesitant. “My sister will lose her mind if she finds out I’m working with anyone connected to Necat.”
Pelin replies: “You won’t be working for me. We’ll be partners.”
Ebru thinks about her limited options – cashier, manicurist – and realizes this could be her chance for a better life.
Tülay’s Gossip Destroys Relationships
Tülay, the neighborhood gossip, continues spreading rumors. She tells Gamze’s mother: “That woman Azra? She was in love with a married man. He even rented an apartment for her. When his wife found out, Azra crawled back home.”
Gamze’s mother is horrified. “What kind of people are we becoming related to?”
The gossip reaches Ebru, who confronts Tülay. A screaming match erupts. Ebru shouts: “You’re a snake! You’ve been circling around me like a worm!”
Tülay fires back: “You’re the one who had an affair with a married man!”
The fight is broken up, but the damage is done. Reputations are shattered.
Mustafa and Gamze – The Engagement Breaks
Gamze’s mother demands that Mustafa end his friendship with Ebru. “Choose,” she says. “Her or your family.”
Mustafa meets with Ebru privately. He tells her: “Don’t even say hello to me from now on. If you see me, change your path. I don’t want any more problems in my life.”
Ebru accepts. “You’re right. I’m sorry for what happened.”
The engagement is effectively over. Mustafa walks away.
The Fire Alarm – Chaos at the Hotel
During the press conference turned disaster, a fire alarm suddenly blares. Guests panic. “Fire! Fire!” people scream.
In the chaos, Serhat and Zeynep escape the journalists. But the damage is already done. The secret is out. The media will tear them apart.
The Final Scene – A Family on the Edge
The episode ends with Serhat sitting in silence. Zeynep holds his hand. She doesn’t speak. She just stays.
He looks at her and whispers: “Everyone hid something from me. You. My mother. Even my brother. I’m tired of being stabbed in the back.”
She replies: “I’m not hiding anything from you. Whatever is in that envelope – when it comes out and my life falls apart again – I will put it back together. Because I have you.”
The camera pulls back. They sit together in the dark. Outside, the city lights flicker. Inside, two people hold onto each other as everything else crumbles.
