 Daha 17 – Episode 3 Third Part

The third part of Episode 3 follows the emotional fallout from Leyla’s deal with her mother, Şebnem. Leyla now works as a waitress at a café. She is heartbroken but follows the rules: she does not speak to Aras, does not greet him, and acts as if he does not exist.

Aras starts working at the same café. On his first day, Leyla serves him and his friends, but she treats him coldly, calling him “müşteri” (customer) and maintaining strict professional distance. Aras is confused and hurt.

Meanwhile, Teoman continues to harass Aras. He mocks Aras for “making Hakan Akkaya his servant” and threatens to find Aras’s brother Demir first. Teoman says: “I will find Demir before you. Then we will have a lot of fun.” Aras attacks him, but they are separated.

Hakan Akkaya tries to build a relationship with Aras. He tells Aras: “I didn’t know why you needed to stay here. If I had known, I would never have tried to send you away.” He offers to help find Aras’s brother, but Aras refuses, saying he prefers to handle it alone. Hakan respects his choice but remains protective.

Serhat – Hakan’s business partner – meets Aras at the café. He recognizes Aras from the hotel opening. He is friendly and tells Aras: “Bodrum is a small place.” They shake hands.

Nuray (Leyla’s aunt) brings expensive clothes to Şebnem’s boat brunch. Şebnem is impressed but cold. She orders her assistant to find out all of Özlem’s debts, planning to buy her garden by force if necessary.

The most powerful scene occurs when Leyla finally confronts Aras in the café. Aras asks her directly: “Did you ask your family to let me stay? Did they tell you to stay away from me?” Leyla admits she is avoiding him, but not for the reason he thinks. She says:

“I am running away so you don’t have to hear what I have to say. All of this has been too much for me – hospitals, stabbings, escapes. I found myself in a crazy situation. When I step back and look, it’s not like me at all. Honestly, at first I liked you. You seemed different. But then… you weren’t that much. Please don’t misunderstand me. We belong to different worlds. So much so that we cannot even remain friends. That’s why this distance is very good for me.”

Aras listens silently. Then he says: “Thank you for your honesty. I will give you the distance you want, don’t worry. Take care of your hands.” He leaves. Leyla is left in tears.

Later, Teoman shows Aras a newspaper clipping. It is about a five-year-old child who ran away from home saying “I will go to my brother.” The child was found, but he kept crying and saying the same words. Teoman taunts Aras with it. Aras desperately begs Teoman to give him the newspaper, offering to do anything – even to disappear from school, to become a ghost. Teoman makes him kneel and beg. Aras kneels. Teoman then burns the newspaper. Aras screams.

The episode ends with Aras devastated, clutching the ashes. The final lines are the child’s voice: “I want my brother. I will go to my brother.”

Main Roles in This Part

  1. Aras – The protagonist. He starts working at a café to stay close to Leyla but is rejected. He is humiliated by Teoman, forced to kneel, and watches the only clue to his brother burn. His pain is immense.

  2. Leyla – She follows her mother’s deal. She pushes Aras away with cold, hurtful words. But her tears show she is suffering too. She sacrifices love to protect Aras from being sent away.

  3. Teoman – The antagonist. He cruelly torments Aras, threatens to find Demir, and burns the newspaper clipping – the only lead Aras has to his brother. He is sadistic and enjoys Aras’s pain.

  4. Hakan Akkaya – Teoman’s father. He tries to be fair to Aras, offering help and protection. But he cannot control his son. He respects Aras’s refusal of help.

  5. Şebnem – Leyla’s mother. She is cold, manipulative, and powerful. She forces Leyla to cut ties with Aras and plans to destroy Özlem financially to buy her garden.

  6. Nuray – Leyla’s aunt. She is loyal to Şebnem and brings expensive gifts to the boat brunch.

  7. Serhat – Hakan’s business partner. He is friendly to Aras and represents a neutral character.

  8. Deniz – Barış’s sister. She is mentioned as someone who defended Aras and argued with Teoman.

  9. Ezgi – Leyla’s friend. She comforts Leyla at the café.

How This Part Ends

The third part ends on two devastating cliffhangers:

1. Leyla Rejects Aras

Leyla tells Aras that he is not the person she thought he was. She says they belong to different worlds and cannot even be friends. Aras accepts her decision and walks away. Their relationship is over. Leyla is left crying.

2. The Burning of the Clue

Teoman has a newspaper clipping about a five-year-old child who ran away looking for his brother – clearly a young Aras. This is Aras’s only solid clue. Teoman makes Aras kneel and beg for it. Then he burns it. Aras screams in agony. The episode ends with Aras holding ashes, and the child’s voice repeating: “I want my brother. I will go to my brother.”

Conclusion

The third part of Episode 3 is the most emotional and dark of the episode. Aras loses everything: the girl he loved, the clue to his brother, and his dignity. He is forced to kneel before his tormentor. The episode ends with Aras completely broken. But the final words – “I will go to my brother” – show that his determination has not died. The search continues, but now without Leyla and without the newspaper. The stage is set for a desperate, more dangerous quest in the episodes to come. The Akkaya family’s cruelty is fully exposed, and Aras’s suffering has reached its peak.
