Third Part of Episode 2 – Daha 17
This third part of Episode 2 deepens the mystery surrounding Aras, Teoman, and the search for Demir. The episode shifts between tense family drama, emotional revelations, and a growing sense that dark secrets are about to be exposed. The central themes are identity, loss, manipulation, and the desperate need to belong.
The Dinner at the Akkaya House
The episode opens with a tense dinner at the Akkaya family home. Aras is present as a guest, but the atmosphere is heavy. Leyla’s mother is clearly uncomfortable and asks Aras why he is there. The family is on edge, and Leyla tries to mediate. At one point, Leyla’s mother confronts her: “Why are your nerves bad, mother? What is happening with everyone tonight?” It becomes clear that the family is hiding something.
Later, Leyla’s father (Hakan) takes Aras to see his car collection. He shows Aras a specific car and says, “This car has a problem. I couldn’t solve it. Maybe you can understand it.” This is clearly a test or a way to engage Aras in conversation. Aras, despite being injured from the stabbing, tries to help.
The Investigation into Aras
A major subplot involves Leyla’s parents investigating Aras. They had asked questions about him at the orphanage. Aras confronts them: “Why did you ask questions about me at the orphanage?” They reveal that someone wrote something on their wall the night before. When Aras asks who, they say, “A close friend of yours. Deniz.” Deniz had written “murderer” on the Akkaya family’s wall, calling out Teoman for stabbing Aras. This act of defiance shows Deniz’s loyalty to Aras.
Aras’s Tragic Backstory
During the dinner, Aras is asked about his family. He reveals that his parents died in a traffic accident when he was five years old. He was in the car but survived. When asked if he remembers the accident, he says, “No.” But then he adds a chilling line: “Don’t trust anyone.” Later, he reveals even more: “Four people in the family, only one survived. Mother, father, and one sibling died.” This means Aras lost his parents and one sibling. He is searching for the remaining sibling – his twin brother Demir.
The Locked Closet – Teoman’s Imprisonment
One of the most disturbing revelations comes when Aras asks Leyla’s mother, “Is that why you lock him in the closet?” referring to Teoman. The mother is shocked and orders Aras to leave immediately. It becomes clear that Teoman is regularly locked in a closet by his parents as punishment. This is a form of abuse. Later, Leyla’s mother confronts Hakan: “You know very well what this does to him. Am I a psychopath? Do I enjoy this? You left me no other choice.” Hakan responds that Aras somehow knows about the closet. Teoman had stolen a necklace from Aras at the hospital, and Aras came to get it back. The necklace is clearly connected to the family secret.
The Necklace and the Search for Demir
The necklace is a key piece of evidence. Aras explains to Deniz that he came to Bodrum to find his brother. He says, “Everywhere I go, I go to find a clue about him.” When Deniz asks why he went to the Akkayas, Aras says, “I don’t know if it’s related to my brother, but there is something about Hakan Akkaya that has bothered me from the beginning.” This suggests that Hakan may know something about Demir’s disappearance.
Ebru’s Pregnancy and Nuray’s Interference
A parallel subplot involves Hakan’s mistress, Nuray, who is pregnant with his child. She confronts him, saying, “I’m carrying your child in my womb.” Hakan coldly replies, “You will get rid of it.” Nuray is hurt and says, “You don’t want this child. I’m not going to force it on you. But I don’t deserve this either.” Hakan tries to pay her off, but she refuses. She later tells Hakan’s wife that she lost the bracelet she was given. The wife realizes that Nuray is manipulative and warns her: “I don’t like others making plans inside my own home.”
Teoman’s Desperate Search
Teoman is also searching for Demir. He has a flashback to the accident, hearing his brother’s voice. He says, “I will find you, brother. Today I thought I found you. I can’t describe the beating of my heart, the excitement.” He remembers a crow in their tree. The accident was like a massacre. Teoman is consumed by the need to find his lost twin.
The Phone Call – Demir’s Address
At the end of the episode, Aras receives a phone call. The person on the other end says, “Twenty-five days. Tomorrow morning.” Then, “Tomorrow I will give you your brother. Wait for news from me.” Aras realizes: “He will give me my brother.” Finally, he receives a message: “I will send Demir’s address. Wait, be patient.” The episode ends with Aras staring at his phone, and the final words on screen: “My brother is at this address.”
Leyla’s Mother Kicks Aras Out
Before the phone call, Leyla’s mother tells Aras, “Pack your things. You’re leaving.” She has decided to send him away, likely to protect her family’s secrets. But Aras may now have the information he needs to find Demir.
